South London Osteopathic Practice

The South London Osteopathic Practice relocated to Crystal Palace in January 2013.

Formerly South Norwood Osteopathic Practice, the Practice was established in 1995 and our roots in the area go back even further.

We provide osteopathic care for all ages and a family approach has been central to the Practice development.

Both Helen & Julia have an interest in women’s health issues; caring for women pre and post partum, and we see many babies and children in the practice.

We are are also committed to continuous professional development (CPD) to ensure the best quality care for all our patients.

We practise from light bright modern clinic rooms at two locations in Crystal Palace and one location in East Dulwich:

Crystal Palace at The Little Escape

Practice History

The South London Osteopathic Practice was established in 1995 (as the South Norwood Osteopathic Practice) by Fiona Walsh, a well respected and experienced osteopath who was named as one of the ten leading osteopaths in Britain by the Independent on Sunday.

Julia Pilkington joined the Practice in its earliest days and osteopath Helen Clarke was invited to become part of the team on her graduation from The British School of Osteopathy.

Together they have had many happy years working to establish and develop the Practice.

Fiona retired from South Norwood in December 2005 and passed on the Practice to osteopath Julia Pilkington and Helen Clarke.

On her retirement from the practice Fiona wrote in a letter to patients:

Many of you will have noticed that I have been reducing my practice time in South Norwood over the last few years, mainly due to increasing academic and General Osteopathic Council commitments.

With the successful relocation of South Norwood Osteopathic Practice into our excellent new premises, I feel it is the right time to reduce my workload further and withdraw from South Norwood completely.

I am truly delighted that Julia Pilkington and Helen Clarke have taken over the reins of South Norwood Osteopathic Practice and I have no doubt that they will continue to provide the highest standards of osteopathic care to you all, as and when you require it.

It has been a great pleasure and privilege to work in South Norwood for nearly 30 years and I have enjoyed enormously serving the local community.

Wishing you all the very best.

Fiona Walsh, November 2005

Julia and Helen are proud to be able to carry on the legacy of high quality patient care which Fiona championed for nearly 30 years as an osteopath working in the local area.
